Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026
LYNTHARA (“we”, “us”) sells hand-finished lacquer and silver jewellery through lynthara.com.
This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it deliberately short:
we collect only what is needed to fulfil your order, support you afterwards, and improve the store.
1. Who we are
The data controller is LYNTHARA. For any privacy request, write to
support@lynthara.com. We reply within 24 hours, in English or Chinese.
2. What we collect
- Order data — name, shipping address, email address, phone number (where a carrier requires it),
the items you ordered and your wrist-size selection. Needed to produce, ship and support your order. - Account data — email address and order history, if you create an account.
- Payment data — handled entirely by PayPal and Airwallex. We receive a confirmation, the amount,
the currency and the last four digits of the card. We never see or store your full card number. - Messages — what you send us by email, contact form or chat, so we can answer and keep a record.
- Technical data — pages viewed, approximate country, device type and referring link, collected by
our self-hosted analytics. This is aggregated; we do not build advertising profiles. - Marketing data — your email address and subscription status, if you opt in.
3. Cookies and local storage
- Essential — session, cart contents and checkout state. The store cannot work without these.
- Preference — your language choice (EN / 中文) is stored in your browser’s local storage so the
site remembers it on your next visit. It never leaves your device. - Analytics — first-party, aggregated page-view counts. No cross-site tracking, no advertising cookies.
You can clear these at any time in your browser settings; essential cookies will simply be recreated on your
next visit.
4. Why we use it
- To take payment, produce and ship your order, and handle returns.
- To answer your questions and provide after-sales support.
- To meet tax, customs and accounting obligations.
- To send marketing email — only if you subscribed, and you can unsubscribe from any email in one click.
- To keep the store secure and fix faults.
5. Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary with the parties who perform these services for us: our payment providers
(PayPal, Airwallex), our shipping carriers and customs brokers, our email and hosting providers. We do not sell
your data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
We may disclose data where we are legally required to, for example in response to a valid request from a tax
or customs authority.
6. International transfers
We ship worldwide, so your order data may be processed outside your country — including by payment and cloud
providers in the United States, Singapore and the European Union. Where required, transfers rely on standard
contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
7. How long we keep it
- Order and invoice records: as long as tax and accounting law requires (typically 7–10 years).
- Account data: until you ask us to delete it.
- Marketing data: until you unsubscribe, plus a short suppression record so we do not email you again by mistake.
- Support messages: up to 3 years after the conversation ends.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask us to: confirm what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict
or object to certain uses, or send you a portable copy. Write to
support@lynthara.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to
verify your identity first. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
You can export or delete your data yourself from Account → Account details, or ask us and we will
do it for you.
9. Children
The store is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a
child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Access to order data is limited to the people who need it to fulfil and support
orders. No system is perfectly secure, but we take these measures seriously and review them as the store grows.
11. Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and, where the change affects you, tell you by
email. The version published here is always the current one.
